Are you sure you want to ask a minister what her beliefs are? Really? Oh, ok...
Love
I believe in love. It is the easiest, hardest, most beautiful, retched thing a person could experience and I wouldn't want it any other way. I believe I have found love. Love is precious. Love is fragile. Love is the best thing in the world.
Family
I believe in family. Family is the most important thing to me. I love my family. As crazy as they are sometimes, I have very good memories of them. I have some crazy ass stories about some of the stunts me and my cousins pulled. My grandparents mean the world to me. I hope that one day I am able to create a loving family for a little one (or two).
Good Sex
I believe in good sex...and often. Though, I don't believe that good sex can solve a person's problems, sometimes there ain't nothing like a good orgasm to get a person's mind right. (maybe that's just me)
Good Books
There is nothing better than sitting down with a good book. Getting lost in a story and getting wrapped up in a character are the most amazing feelings. A good book will stay with you for years and continuously impact your thinking.
Black Empowerment
I believe in supporting Black businesses and recycling Black dollars. I have been burned more than once. I blogged about one of those times, but I still try. I'm not just talking about restaurants, but also travel agents, bakeries, entertainment companies, etc. I support my people every time I can.
Vote
I believe in the power of the vote. People gave up their lives for my right and privilege to set foot into a booth.
God
I believe in God. I believe in the Trinity. I also believe that everyone has to decide for themselves how to believe and what to believe. I do not believe in forcing my beliefs on anyone.
Being Yourself
I believe that one should be who they are, whatever that means for the person. Be original! Be yourself. I'm awkward, a nerd, a bookworm, an introvert who has an extrovert's job, I like rap and Native American tribal music. I don't make sense. I'm okay with all of that.
These are all I can think of at the moment. So, I'm going to end this post. I guess it
Makes. No. Sense.
