a few things

So, Shortcake said she sounded bad in yesterday's post. I don't agree. The Thanksgiving thing, I rarely go home for Thanksgiving (it's too close to Christmas break, I know I'm not in school anymore but still). She has accused me of not having a sense of humor. I have one, it's just different. I don't think she sounded bad, but I hope this post makes her feel better (and blush like all hell).

Things I love about my girl:

--She loves my nappy hair. I love the fact that she loves my natural hair. I think the whole Black women and hair thing is kinda tired but it's still very much an issue in our community. She's not natural but she understands my plight as a woman who is. Gotta love it.

--her smile. She has a beautiful smile. I often crack corny jokes just to get her to smile.

--relationship with Zeus. I love seeing her interact with her dog. She is so loving with him and it warms my heart to see it.

--her hugs. She gives the best hugs. It's like the world disappears when I'm in her arms.

--her lips. She has the softest lips I have ever kissed. I could just kiss her all day.

--her conversation. We can have deep socio-political conversations. We can have SpongeBob conversations. We can have silent conversations. It's amazing.

--her style. She wears heels all the time. She has this sexy casual look, like being beautiful is easy.

--her ass. That's right. I said it. She has this amazing ass. She has caught me staring at it more than once (thankfully she has never called me on it).

--her passion sounds. Yeah, I said it. I love her moans when we are making love. They drive me crazy.

--her Yankeeness. Yep, she's a Yankee. I love that she is direct, and doesn't always say ma'am, and sometimes forgets to hold the door for me. (Though, I don't understand why she doesn't like sweet tea, but then I am Southern through and through)

--her big heart. She is the most loving person I have ever met. Of course, that makes her sensitive and people often take advantage of her kindness. She goes all out for those she loves.

--her eyes. She has these eyes that pull you in and intoxicate you. She has eyes that make you want to get lost in them.

Mostly, I love her. I love everything about her. Her temper. Her attitude. Her everything. Sometimes I just sit and look at her because I just want to absorb everything that is Shortcake. I just want to sit and visually take her in. When we are apart, all I have are my memories and I want to remember everything about her (down to the smallest detail).
