OMG, today was a rough one!!
The day started fine. I got up did my morning routine and actually left the house early so I could stop for gas. Got the gas and headed to work!! I have to go through a toll every morning. I got through the toll and....wait for it...the car stopped!
That's right! Stopped! She just died. In the middle of morning rush hour. It was so traumatic for me. Car zipping past me. Drivers honking and yelling. I broke down crying. When the officer got there, he saw I was balling and said 'what's the matter?' I dramatically said EVERYTHING! He said 'well, here's what we can do..." He was very nice.
The tow truck driver got there and loaded my car onto his truck. He said 'where to' and I looked at him like he had three heads. I explained my situation and he said well we will take care of you. And he did. He put in a new battery without charging me. I need to get more work done on the car and guess where she is going...right to him.
Meanwhile at the bat cave (work)...
There is this really conservative guy at work and today of all days he decides to tell me he doesn't believe homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle. NOT TO-FUCKIN-DAY, SIR! I'm like why the hell you tellin me this shit. I don't think stiff stick in the mud is an acceptable lifestyle but I let your ass be lame. These super saved, holier than thou folks slay me.
I think he was trying make friends among the other chaplains, but he just alienated himself (and don't even know it or maybe he does). I'm not the only gay one in the department. I'm just the most out one. I honestly think he is threatened by me and is looking for ways to make me look flawed in the eyes of my other co-workers. Whatever dude!
